Vicki Boeckman is an active and passionate performer of all styles of music and plays all sizes of recorders. In great demand as a teacher of the recorder and related performance practices, Vicki coaches and teaches at workshops and seminars all over the country. She is actively involved in the Seattle Recorder Society and is the Music Director for the newly formed Portland Recorder Society. Since settling in Seattle in 2004, she has been a featured soloist with the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Opera, Philharmonia Northwest Orchestra, the Northwest Girl Choir, and the Medieval Women’s Choir. She is a co-founder of two Danish-based ensembles: Opus 4 and Wood’N’Flutes, recorder trios playing works spanning the Middle Ages to the 21st century. Her various recordings can be heard on the Kontra Punkt, Classico, Da Capo, Horizon, Musical Heritage America, Paula, Kadanza, and Primavera labels.
Rotem Gilbert is a gifted recorder player and teacher - well known ad admired among OCRS members. She is a founding member of Ciaramella and a member of Piffaro. In addition, Rotem has performed with Los Angeles Philharmonic, ARTEK, Fala Musica (Netherlands), La Caccia Alta (Belgium), Chatham Baroque, Pittsburgh Camerata, King's Noyse, Newberry Consort, Capilla Flamenca, Pittsburgh Opera and the LA Opera. Rotem can be heard on the Deutsche Grammophon's Archiv, Passacaille, Musica Americana, Dorian, Yarlung Records, and Naxos labels. She currently teaches Baroque and Renaissance performance practice courses at USC Thornton School of Music.
